The independent committee that oversee the Integrative
Medicine for Anti-Aging conferences is comprised of prominent clinicians
and researchers who are actively involved in the field of anti-aging medicine.
Their responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the process of formulating a focused and
topical curriculum
- Identifying and recruiting respected scientists and
physicians to present the latest evidence-based treatments and diagnostic
techniques as well as breakthrough scientific research
- Reviewing the experience, academic, and professional
credentials of all faculty members
- Applying a rigorous standard to the assertions of presenters
and the claims of exhibitors

Dr.
Joseph McWherter received his medical degree in 1977 from the University
of Texas Health Science Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of
Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons,
and a member of the American College for Advancement in Medicine. As a practicing
physician for over 20 years, Dr. McWherter has seen the need for an increased
awareness in preventive health. Dr. McWherter is on the forefront of natural
hormonal replacement therapies as well as functional medicine and nutritional
medicine. As an innovator in women's health, Dr. McWherter has developed
a unique approach to the health issues facing contemporary women. Along
with a constant quest for the most up-to-date findings in the traditional
science of medicine, he has also investigated numerous 'alternative medicine'
techniques in order to assess their scientific basis and possible applications
in a traditional clinical settings. |

Rashid
A. Buttar, DO received his undergraduate degree from Washington University
in St. Louis with a double major in Biology and Theology and then attended
medical school at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences,
College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He trained
in General Surgery and Emergency Medicine and then served as Brigade Surgeon
for 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of South Korea and later, as the Chief,
Department of Emergency Medicine at Moncrief Army Community Hospital at
Ft. Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina while serving in the US Army. Dr.
Buttar is board certified in Preventive Medicine and Chelation Therapy,
is board eligible in Emergency Medicine and has achieved fellowship status
in three separate medical organizations (Fellow of the American College
for Advancement in Medicine, Fellow of the American Academy of Preventive
Medicine, and Fellow of the American Academy of Integrative Medicine). Dr.
Buttar practices in Charlotte, NC where he is the medical director of Advanced
Concepts in Medicine, a clinic specializing in treating cancer, heart disease
and other chronic conditions in patients refractory to conventional treatments.
He also serves as Director of Clinical Research and Development for V-SAB
Medical Laboratories where he is extensively involved in research with polypeptide
sequencing and identification technologies as well as innovative methodologies
for drug delivery mechanisms. Dr. Buttar has lectured world wide on these
subjects at medical congresses, symposiums and to lay audiences. He also
continues to actively teach as faculty for mainstream medical courses such
as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) courses for physicians through the
American College of Surgeons as well as teaching Pediatric Advanced Life
Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses to other physicians, nurses
and emergency response personnel. |

Dotson, M.D. |
Dr.
Dotson received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School
of Medicine at Reno, he did his post doctoral work at the University of
California at Davis, and UCLA Department of medicine, School of medicine.
He was cited as "Outstanding Intern" by the University of California
at Davis / Kaiser Permanente, Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Dotson
has previous academic appointments at the University of San Francisco /
Stanford Schools of Medicine and was Chief, Department of Allergy for the
University of San Francisco. In 1999 Dr. Dotson was cited by Las Vegas Life
Magazine as "Las Vegas Top Doctor". He is currently on the staff
at the Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas. |
| Brian M. Kinney, M.D., FACS, MSME |
Dr. Kinney gained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the Harvard/MIT program in Health Sciences and Technology in Cambridge, MA, his M.D. degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and his general and plastic surgery training at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. and is a member of numerous organizations in medicine, science and engineering, including the AMA, ASPRS, PSEF, ASAPS, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has won several awards for his professional work, presents and teaches at national and international meetings, serves as a consultant to biotech and engineering companies, and continues to author articles in many journals and textbooks Dr. Kinney has appeared on ABC network's Nightline, Fox Network's Extra, CNN, Hard Copy, The Discovery Channel, all of the national news networks, and newspapers nationwide. He has also presented/interviewed on radio, television and in newspapers in Europe and Central America and led many surgical relief missions for the wars in Bosnia and in Mexico. |
| Alvin B. Lin, MD |

As physician for Cenegenics Medical Institute, Dr. Lin is certified to practice Age Management Medicine without supervision, in accordance with the AMA guidelines for Continuing Medical Education on New Procedures and Skills. After receiving a medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, Dr. Lin completed his residency in family medicine at Merrithew Memorial Hospital (UC – Davis). Gaining vast experience as a physician after several years, he was granted a Fellowship in Family Medicine and Geriatrics at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. After having earned the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine, he was recertified in family medicine. He was appointed Director of the Ambulatory Geriatric Center and Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Family Medicine at the Brody School of Medicine. In this capacity, he had the opportunity to train the next generation of family practitioners. His diverse professional background, coupled with his ACLS, ALSO, ATLS, BLS, NPR and PALS certifications, has made Dr. Lin an influential and successful mentor.

| Kathryn
L. Poleson, D.M.D., MAGD |
Dr.
Kathryn Poleson is a 1975 graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University
School of Dentistry. A Diplomate of the ABAAHP, she joined A4M in 1998 and
took and passed the examination in 1999. Dr. Poleson has previous academic
appointments as an Instructor with Concordia Career Institute, Apollo College,
and OHSU School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. Presently she instructs
several times per year at the Clark College School of Dental Hygiene in
Vancouver, WA. She is a member of several professional organizations including
the Academy of General Dentistry, in which she has earned the esteemed Mastership;
the American Association of Women Dentists, the American Dental Association
and state and local dental societies. She has been awarded Fellowship in
the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the Academy
of Dentistry International. She presently also serves as a national officer
of ADI. She and Dr. David Carsten were co-founders of the Howard Memorial
Program, a student case presentation program being integrated in the curriculum
of dental schools nationwide. Large amounts of money have been raised with
accompanying speakers and numerous charities have benefited greatly. Students
participating during the past three years comment that this program is the
best learning experience they have had in dental school. Dr Poleson is Editor
for the Washington Academy of General Dentistry and received the Best Constituent
Newsletter Award at the National Convention in July 2003. She was also chosen
"Dentist of the Year 2002-2003 by the Washington Academy of General
Dentistry. Her commitment to helping others is evident in the time and money
she continues to give back to our profession. Dr. Poleson has played a key
role in and has been instrumental in promoting Anti-Aging to her peers and
patients in the dental community and in assisting with the formation of
a Dental Pre-conference Track for the December 2003 A4M Conference and the
continuing medical/ dental education certification by the Academy of General
Dentistry. She is serving as Co-Chair for the Pre-Conference Track on The
Impact of Dental Health on Anti-Aging Medicine and is currently in private
practice in Vancouver, WA. |
| Karlis
Ullis, M.D. |
Dr. Ullis received his medical degree from the University of Washington
School of Medicine in 1970 and trained in pediatrics at UCLS. He served
a Fellowship in Adolescent / Sports Medicine at the University of Washington
and is board certified in Pediatrics. Since 1978 his professional career
has been devoted to the Sports Medicinecare of UCLA intercollegiate, recreational
athletes, world class and professional athletes. Dr. Ullis has treated Olympic
Game Gold Medal winners and world record holders in Olympic Sports and have
served as a team physician in five Olympic Games. Dr. Ullis maintains a
clinical practice focuses on non-surgical Orthopedic Medicine, Physical
Medicine, and Rehabilitation, Longevity Medicine, and Sexual Wellness. He
has developed an expertise in aging involving the Menopause, Andropause
(Andrology), sex hormone and growth hormone replacement therapies, nutrition,
supplements, obesity, exercise physiology, and human sexuality. Dr. Ullis
has been a consultant to the nutrition-supplement industry, the media and
has written books and published numerous articles on aging, sports nutrition,
sex hormones and sexuality. Dr. Ullis is a certified Pfizer Pharmaceutical
and Lilly-ICOS consultant on male sexual function (Viagra, Cialis) and has
been trained by the Kronos Internet Telemedicine "Age-management Program."
Dr. Ullis newest book is "The Hormone Revolution Weight-Loss Plan"
(Penguin Putnam/Avery Press; 2003). It is about the use of exercise science
principles and nutrition to obtain an optimum body composition via timing
key fat-burning hormonal responses to food intake and exercise to regulate
weight. Dr. Ullis has been a member of the Los Angeles Gerontology Research
Group since 1995 and is on the Editorial/Scientific Boards of five journals. |
